Activision Unveils Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone Season 1 Roadmap
Activision has revealed the content roadmap for Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone, introducing new 6v6 maps, weapons, and Battle Pass.

Comprehensive Content Roadmap for Modern Warfare 4
Activision and lead development studio Infinity Ward have officially unveiled the roadmap for Season 1 across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Call of Duty: Warzone. Scheduled to launch simultaneously across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on November 12, 2026, the massive seasonal update delivers an extensive array of multiplayer maps, modernized weapon platforms, and unified progression systems designed to expand the competitive meta following the record-setting launch of the core title.

Multiplayer enthusiasts will receive three brand-new core six-versus-six arenas at launch, featuring the urban setting Verdansk Canal alongside two original tactical complexes named Terminal Yard and Redline Facility. Additionally, dynamic environmental hazards and interactive door mechanisms have been integrated across each battle arena to encourage calculated team flanking maneuvers. Mid-season reinforcements will introduce two additional combat maps and the return of festive seasonal variants. Competitive playlists will officially kick off with Ranked Play, featuring rule sets aligned with the Call of Duty League and exclusive cosmetic rewards for top ladder competitors.
Warzone Integration and Battle Pass Arsenal

Battle royale players will experience comprehensive system integration with Modern Warfare 4 mechanics. The free-to-play Warzone experience will adopt the omnidirectional movement mechanics, revised armor handling, and tactical audio improvements introduced in the recent release. A refreshed Area 99 resurgence map will debut alongside new extraction contracts and modernized gulag arenas to intensify survival skirmishes. Specialized equipment caches, returning field upgrades, and updated swimming mechanics will also redefine tactical engagements across coastal drop zones.
The Season 1 Battle Pass delivers over one hundred tiers of unlockable content, featuring two functional base weapons available in free sectors: the high-mobility ARC-9 assault rifle and the hard-hitting Striker-X submachine gun. Players can also unlock prestige weapon blueprints, tactical vehicle skins, and iconic operator variants. Furthermore, cross-progression ensures that all weapon levels, cosmetics, and seasonal achievements synchronize seamlessly across multiplayer, cooperative modes, and battle royale skirmishes. Detailed weapon tuning notes and gameplay deep-dives can be viewed in the official roadmap post on the Call of Duty Blog.
